TV Beds Northwest proudly offers a complimentary 5-year guarantee on our own exclusive range of TV Beds by kaydian design. Please note that our 5 year guarantee does not apply to any other products made by Sleepeezee, Sealy or Sweetdreams unless explicitly stated, but we adhere to the manufacturer's warranty. In the event of a claim your guarantee will be handled by us at TV Beds Northwest - not directly with the manufacturer. We will represent you in contacting the manufacturer on your behalf to resolve the issue. 

For products designated as 'Clearance' or 'Ex display,' whether acquired from our showroom or website, a one-year guarantee is applicable. It's important to note that you might still be covered by any guarantee provided by the manufacturer. Should you have any enquiries about this, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.

Our guarantee becomes effective from the date of purchase, and in the event of a defect in a qualifying product, we are committed to promptly repairing or replacing any faulty part. It is our top priority to ensure that you are satisfied with our services.

What is Excluded from the Guarantee?

We reserve the right to decline covering the expense associated with a claim arising from: 

  • Damage from misuse, abuse or deliberated/wilful damages
  • Product that has been assembled or stored incorrectly (Damp or in direct sunlight)
  • Accidental damage through negligence by you or any third party
  • The cracking of wood due to extreme changes in room humidity or direct heat source (such as radiators or air conditioning)
  • Stain or damage that consistent with wear and tear or anything that happens gradually.
  • Spill or stain that has incurred when the bed has not been properly covered by a mattress protector
  • Damage caused by insects, non-domestic animals, or wild birds
  • Removal of odours even when caused by stains 
  • Dye transfer from non-colourfast plastics, fabrics, clothing (including denims and throws) damage through contact with hair and body products, or other cosmetics applications such as tanning lotions
  • Damage through failure to follow the instructions contained in our care guide or any instructions (including, but not limited, any manufacturing instructions) given with the product on delivery or via email.
  • Any item where alteration has been carried out by someone else.
  • Failure to follow the terms of these guarantees. Proof of purchase of the product in question is responsibility of the customer and needs to be provided by the customer.
  • Items purchased as 'Clearance' or 'Ex-display' as stated above. 
  • By fire, fabric damage, smoke ask, flood, wind or any other natural disaster.
  • In the case of a TV bed with built in televisions or other ancillary electronic components, only bed fittings, including the lift mechanism are covered and not the television or any ancillary components whether attached to the television or otherwise included in the bed frame. 

How do I make a claim on the Guarantee? 

If you want to make a claim,

  • Contact our customer service team on on 0161-879-4733 quoting your order number or email at hello@tvbedsnorthwest.co.uk with details or photographs and we will aim to respond within 24 hours.
  • Please note if you would like us to discuss your queries with another person on your behalf, you will need to give us permission to speak to them. 
  • We may ask for additional photographs to be sent, so we can assess the issue. One of our support team will contact you to offer a solution or arranged a specialise visit if required.
  • If a replacement or repair is not possible we will offer you the customer the  chance to an alternative product or refund.
  • Should we repair or replace your product under any of the guarantees, then the repaired or replaced product will not have a new guarantee but will instead enjoy the benefits of the remaining term of any original guarantee.

Your rights

These guarantees are offered by TV Beds Northwest. They are in addition to your statutory rights (under the Consumer Rights Act) which are not affected by these guarantees. Further advice in relation to your statutory rights is available from your local Trading Standards Office or Citizens Advice Bureau. 

TV Beds Northwest is solely responsible for making the final decision whether to repair or replace the product in question and/or to reimburse the customer as described above. Additionally, we reserve the right to amend or withdraw either or both of these guarantees at any time, although for the avoidance of doubt, any guarantees that are in effect at such time will be honoured.

Manufactures Guarantees

Kaydian Design

All Kaydian Products come with a standard 1 years guarantee.

When it comes to quality and luxury, Kaydian designs have made a name for themselves since they were established in 2004, Kaydian has built a reputation for supplying quality products with excellent service. In fact, they’re now a leading supplier of upholstered frames. 

Every frame from Kaydian comes with a minimum of a 12 month warranty for your protection. Therefore, should you encounter any issues with your purchase within this time, you have a safety net. 

Thanks to the strong, sturdy materials, these frames can do exactly that. Kaydian beds also allow for great ventilation, helping to prolong the life of your mattress while keeping you comfortable at night.

In the unlikely event of a material or workmanship defect within the 1 year guarantee period, TV Beds Northwest will liase with Kaydian to arrange to repair or replace you product at their discretion.

Kaydian reserves the right to refuse service with any defect if:
1. The defect is due to causes other than faulty materials or workmanship.

2. The item is soiled and in an unsanitary condition.

3. Any of the terms and conditions are not abided by in full.

Sealy

In the unlikely event of a defect in material or workmanship occurring within the 5 year guarantee period for Sealy Classics mattresses, or 7 year guarantee period for Sealy Posturepedic mattresses, we will arrange to repair or replace the item under complaint free of charge at our discretion. The guarantee will continue from the original date of purchase.

Any claims made under this guarantee must be made initially through the retailer from whom the product was purchased.

We cannot enter into any discussion with the purchaser until the retailer has inspected any alleged complaint and judged justified or otherwise. On receipt of the retailer’s report, we will take whatever action is necessary under the terms of the guarantee.

Sealy reserves the right to refuse service with any defect if:

1. The defect is due to causes other than faulty materials or workmanship.

2. The item is soiled and in an insanitary condition.

3. Any of our Terms and Conditions are not abided by in full.

I’ve got a problem, how do I make a claim?

To make a claim you will need to have your proof of purchase or delivery.

Any claim made under this guarantee must be made through the retailer from whom the bed was purchased. Please ensure you retain your receipt as proof of purchase. Any claim must be made no later than 5 years, or 7 years for Elevate and Elevate Ultra mattresses, from the date of purchase.

For purchases made directly through Sealy or after the first year of purchase, please contact customer services at customercare@sealy.co.uk with proof of purchase or delivery and images of the product fault that you are claiming against.

Your legal rights as a consumer are not affected by this guarantee.

Terms and Conditions of your Full Manufacturer’s Guarantee.

1. Our mattresses should not be rolled or bent – this could distort the spring system which in turn may affect the upholstery layers. This applies on delivery and if you need to move the mattress from room to room or house to house.

2. Please do not attempt to modify alter or adapt your mattress, bed or headboard as this will invalidate your guarantee.

3. All Sealy products must have been used in accordance with the care instructions, including being turned and rotated ‘head-to-toe’ if double sided or rotated ‘head-to-toe’ if single sided, to help with settling the cushioning layers.

4. Single sided mattresses should only ever be used on the sleeping surface intended. Under no circumstance should the underside of the mattress be used as a sleeping surface.

5. Sealy reserves the right to substitute products or materials should the original no longer be available and cannot undertake to match items not under complaint. This does not affect the purchaser’s statutory rights.

6. The mattress should not be used without bed linen and we recommend that you use a breathable mattress protector from new to maintain your mattress.

7. The mattress must be used with a suitable base – one which will provide suitable adequate support e.g. with slatted bed frames the slat widths should be 10cm and the gap between them no more than 7.5 cm.

8. The weight tolerance of 7kg on the small drawers, 15kg on the standard drawer and 40kg on ottoman beds has not been exceeded.

9. We will be unable to accept a claim if the product has been subjected to unfair wear and tear.

10. We are unable to accept items that are soiled or unhygienic.

11. This guarantee does not cover accidental damage and only covers defects in manufacture, materials or workmanship.

12. We may choose to instruct an independent third party specialist to carry out an in home assessment of your product and claim to assist in our decision making.

13. This guarantee only applies to Sealy products that have been purchased from an authorised retailer in the UK and Republic of Ireland.

14. This guarantee only applies to domestic products that have been purchased and used in a domestic setting. This guarantee does not apply to commercial products or premises.

15. This guarantee applies only to the original purchaser and can’t be transferred to anyone else if you decide to sell your Sealy product within the guarantee period.

16. This guarantee is a manufacturer’s guarantee and as such we are unable to offer any refunds.

17. This guarantee is a manufacturer’s guarantee and is limited to repair or replacement at our discretion. You may have additional rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 with your retailer. If you purchased directly from Sealy then your claim would be dealt with by us. It is usual for your retailer to deal with your claim in at least the first year after purchase, so always check with them first.

18. All our mattresses are hand made to metric dimensions, meaning they will naturally vary a little in size. Sealy allow a +/- 2cm tolerance.

19. This guarantee does not affect your consumer rights.

Sleepeezee

Sleepeezee is confident all of their beds are made to the highest standards. Therefore they will offer the following guarantee:

10 Years: Sleepeezee divan sets (Sleepeezee mattresses purchased with a Sleepeezee divan base)

10 Years: Sleepeezee mattresses (When purchased separately)

2 Years: Adjustable motors and handsets

1 Year: Divan drawers, drawer runners, linking bars, castors and glides and mattress toppers.

In the unlikely event of a defect becoming apparent, please contact your retailer within ONE month of the problem occurring. Give the retailer proof of purchase along with the nature of the issue and any photographs you have taken, which will help us to identify the potential cause. Following an inspection by the retailer and/or an independent inspection company, the defective product will be repaired or replaced free of charge.

Terms and conditions

General wear and tear, including staining, excessive soiling, abrasion, tears and burns, misuse and normal bed filling settlement are excluded.

This guarantee is non-transferable and valid from the date of the original purchase only.

Consistent with meeting its obligations under the guarantee, Sleepeezee reserves the right to undertake the lowest cost option to it. This may involve rectifying the problem, arranging for the unsatisfactory component to be replaced or refunding part of the original purchase price. 

This guarantee does not extend to non-domestic usage, or to goods which are taken outside of the UK.

This guarantee may be invalidated if the purchaser does not follow or carry out proper care procedures as outlined in the guidelines or where the product has been adapted, abused or altered.

The terms of this guarantee in no way limits legal and statutory rights.

Sleepeezee reserves the right to change specifications without prior notice as part of our continuous improvement policy.

Product Care and Maintenance

Thank you for purchasing one of our products. Below are a few guidelines to help you make the most of your new product.

Mattresses

Once removed from the packaging, please leave your mattress uncovered in a well-ventilated room for a few hours to allow the mattress to acclimatise to the room temperature. Your new mattress may give off an odor after it is unpacked. Don’t worry, this is totally safe and will dissipate over time. Ventilation and airing the mattress daily will help this process. Do not stand or store the mattress on its side, ensure it is kept flat at all times.

The materials used in your mattress are designed to conform to your body’s contour and some compression or settlement of fillings is normal. Do not turn over your mattress, however, to ensure even settlement, rotate the mattress every 4-6 weeks.

We recommend the use of a mattress prorector, which will help to maintain a hygienic sleep surface, maintain the appearance of your mattress, and may contribute to the longevity of the product.

Without use of a mattress protector, your guarantee will be void.

Do not use detergents or chemical cleaners on your mattress cover as this may damage the material. Please refer to the care label for cleaning instructions of the removable cover.

Guarantee

The guarantee covers internal mattress construction for a period of 5 years and the cover for 1 year against faulty manufacturing. We undertake to repair or replace at our discretion, any of our products free of charge during this period if an inspection or photographs reveal poor workmanship or faulty materials that lead to excessive visible settlement (settlement tolerance noted below). Maximum individual weight capacity 18st (114kg). The manufacture does not offer a cash alternative.

The guarantee does not cover normal ageing or wear and tear, changes in hardness of any of the components, nor does it cover light discolouration of polyurethane foams, or latex or dislike of the inherent smell of any of the components.

We reserve the right to:

• Substitute with materials of a comparable or higher quality if the identical materials are not available.

• Refuse service if the fault in the product is due to causes other than poor workmanship or faulty materials.

• Refuse to handle or service any product that is in soiled or unhygienic condition or has been abused. Examples of abuse include (but are not limited to):

✓ Use without bed linen

✓ Using a mattress with a base for which it was not designed. Slats on a bed frame to be no less than 7cm minimum width and no more than 10cm apart.

✓ Bending or folding the mattress.

✓ Excessive wear and tear (e.g., jumping on the mattress or repeated localised pressure on the edge).

This guarantee applies only where goods have been maintained in line with the care instructions above. The guarantee does not affect your statutory rights. Under the law, the Contract of Sale exists between the retailer/store and the consumer. Consequently, any claims made under this guarantee must, in all circumstances, be made through the retailer from whom the bed was purchased. Please ensure you retain your receipt as proof of purchase. In the event of a complaint, the retailer will liaise with the manufacturer on your behalf. This guarantee applies only to goods purchased from an authorised retailer of Breasley in the UK & Eire and, in all instances, applies to product only where it has been used and maintained in accordance with the manufacturers’ guidelines and instructions. In the event of a dispute Breasley may request a 3rd party inspection by a recognised organisation.
