Adjustable TV Beds - Evolving from practical to something people actually want

Finally Adjustable beds have had a bit of a glow- up - and not before time. For years, they have been boxed in to one category. Clinical, bulky, and only spoken about when someone needed one.

Not wanted one. Needed one. However, that has now changed and its changing quickly. Move over ugly adjustable beds, the future of lifestyle furniture is here.

Evolving from "practical" to something people actually want.

It used to be simple: adjustable beds were about function. Raise your head, lift your legs, job done.

But people don’t live like that anymore.

Bedrooms have become more than just somewhere to sleep. They’re where people unwind, scroll, watch films, answer emails, drink a brew, and sometimes just switch off from everything. The bed has had to keep up.

And that’s exactly what’s happening.

Technology and style are now leading the shift.

Adjustable beds aren’t just moving up and down anymore — they’re getting clever.

We’re seeing features like:

  • Built-in massage functions for proper wind-down time
  • Wireless remotes and app control (no more losing it down the side)
  • Voice activation — yes, actually talking to your bed
  • USB charging built straight into the frame
  • Pre-set positions like “TV mode” or “zero gravity”

It’s not gimmicky when it’s done right. It’s just about making life easier.

And that’s the key difference — this isn’t about showing off technology for the sake of it. It’s about everyday comfort, made simple.

Adjustable beds are no longer “for later in life”

This is probably the biggest shift of all.

Adjustable beds used to be something people only considered much later on. Now, they’re being bought by people in their 30s, 40s, even younger — because why wouldn’t you want to sit up comfortably in bed without stacking pillows like a house of cards?

If you’re already investing in a good mattress, a solid bed frame, and creating a space you enjoy being in… an adjustable base just fits into that naturally.

It’s not about age. It’s about how you live.

They are for lifestyles, not labels.

People also don’t want to feel like they’re buying something “medical.” And they shouldn’t have to.

The newer generation of adjustable beds are built to look like proper furniture — soft fabrics, clean lines, colours that actually suit a bedroom. Nothing about them screams clinical anymore.

They sit alongside TV beds, storage beds, and everything else that’s been designed around modern living.

Because at the end of the day, everyone deserves a bed they actually enjoy being in.

So where are they heading?

There is only one place and that is up. More integrations. Smarter features. Better designs, Less compromise for everyone.

Beds are not just beds anymore, they're becoming part of how we relax, recharge and spend time at home. Finally adjustable beds have caught up.

So the simple truth, what does this look like in real life?

You spend a huge chunk of your life in bed, so why should you settle for something basic?  We've seen first hand the change with adjustable beds like our Titan 4.1 Adjustable TV Beds.

It's got everything you'd expect from a modern adjustable, smooth movement, built in massage, voice activation and a wireless remote. No wooden slates, they have proper mattress bases with dual mechanism control.. no long clinical. It feels like part of your bedroom.

You can go from lying flat to sitting up in seconds, whether that's for watching TV, winding down or just getting in to a more comfortable position.

That's what adjustable beds are becoming. Not something you have to have... something you actually want.
