The UK's Best-Selling TV Beds Revealed - What a Year of Sales Data Tells Us About What Buyers Actually Want

If you have been researching TV beds for a while, you have probably read plenty of opinion pieces about which features matter and which beds are "worth it." What you rarely see is actual sales data. Real numbers. Real choices made by real buyers.

We decided to change that.

We pulled 12 months of sales data from TV Beds Northwest and analysed every TV bed sold between June 2025 and June 2026. The findings are genuinely interesting, and we think they will help you cut through the noise if you are currently trying to decide which TV bed is right for you.

Here is what the data told us.

The Amber 4.1 Dominates: Nearly Half of All TV Beds Sold

The standout finding is this: the Amber 4.1 Multimedia Ottoman Storage TV Bed accounted for close to half of all TV beds we sold in the last 12 months. No other single model comes close.

That is a remarkable concentration of demand around one product, and it tells you something important. When buyers do their research, compare specifications, read the reviews, and make a considered decision, the Amber 4.1 is where most of them land.

Why? The Amber 4.1 sits in a sweet spot. It offers genuine 4.1 multimedia audio with subwoofer-driven bass, ottoman storage, and a clean, contemporary design that suits a wide range of bedroom aesthetics. It's important to bear in mind that only true surround sound can be achieved with a 4.1 set-up; a 2.1 is simply a bed with speakers.  It is not the most entry-level option on the site, but it is not the flagship either. It represents what most buyers are actually looking for: real performance at a price that feels justified.

If you are new to TV beds and unsure where to start, the sales data makes a fairly clear case for looking at the Amber first.

Dolby Atmos TV Beds Are the Fastest-Growing Category

The second thing the data reveals is that demand for Dolby Atmos TV beds is substantial and growing. When you combine sales across the Edge Dolby Atmos, Darras Dolby Atmos, Lakes Dolby Atmos, and Harlow 5.1 models, the Dolby Atmos and cinematic surround sound category accounts for roughly a third of all TV beds sold.

That is a significant share, and it reflects a clear shift in what buyers now expect from a TV bed. A few years ago, built-in speakers were a novelty. Today, buyers who are investing in a premium TV bed increasingly expect cinema-quality sound as a baseline, not an upgrade.

The Edge Dolby Atmos was the best performer within this group, with its 5.1.2 surround sound configuration and ottoman storage making it one of the most fully specified TV beds available. The Darras and Lakes models performed solidly too, each finding buyers who were specifically looking for that cinema surround sound experience in a bedroom setting.

If sound quality is high on your priority list, the data strongly suggests you are not alone, and that buyers who want Dolby Atmos are willing to pay for it.

King Size Is the Nation's Preferred TV Bed Size

Size data is where the findings get particularly useful for anyone still deciding which size to order.

Among all TV bed sales where a specific size could be identified, king size (150cm) accounted for more than half of all units. Double (135cm) and super king (180cm) finished level in second place, each accounting for roughly equal proportions of remaining sales.

Small double (120cm) made up a smaller but still meaningful share, showing that there is genuine demand for TV beds in rooms where space is at more of a premium.

The dominance of king size will not surprise anyone who has spent time in the bedroom furniture market. It is the size most couples gravitate towards when upgrading from a standard double, offering noticeably more space without the footprint of a super king. In the context of a TV bed, where the foot end is deeper than a standard bed to accommodate the screen and audio components, king size also tends to feel proportionally right for the average UK master bedroom.

The VOX: Niche, But Meaningful

One model that stands out in the data for different reasons is the VOX TV Bed. It is a voice-activated TV bed, and while it accounts for a smaller percentage of overall sales, its performance is notable for a product that operates in a genuinely distinct niche.

The VOX sells to buyers who want something different. Voice activation, a more compact footprint, and a different approach to the TV bed concept make it a product with its own clearly defined audience. The fact that it sells consistently tells us that a portion of the market is not just looking for the most popular option. They have a specific use case in mind and they are buying for it.

If you have a smaller bedroom or want a more discreet TV bed experience, the VOX is worth a look. Browse our small double TV beds here.

The Titan: A Legacy Model With Enduring Appeal

The Titan 4.1 Multi Media Ottoman Storage TV Bed also features prominently in our sales data. As one of the models that helped define the modern TV bed category in the UK, the Titan continues to attract buyers who want a proven, established option with a strong track record.

Its 4.1 multimedia audio setup, ottoman storage, and well-regarded build quality have kept it relevant even as newer models have entered the range. It is the kind of TV bed that gets recommended by people who already own one, and that word-of-mouth credibility shows in the numbers.

What the Data Tells You as a Buyer

Drawing back from the individual models, the sales data reveals a few broader truths about what TV bed buyers in the UK actually prioritise.

Performance over price alone. The most popular TV beds in our range are not the cheapest. Buyers are consistently choosing models with better audio specifications, ottoman storage, and more considered design. The price point matters, but it is clearly not the primary driver.

Sound has become a deciding factor. The strong collective performance of the Dolby Atmos range shows that surround sound capability is no longer a premium add-on that only a small group of buyers want. It is increasingly a mainstream expectation among people who are serious about their bedroom entertainment setup.

King size is the practical sweet spot. For most buyers in most bedrooms, king size hits the right balance between space, proportion, and the additional footprint that a TV bed requires.

Buyers know what they want. The concentration of demand around a relatively small number of models, rather than being spread evenly across the full range, suggests that people are doing proper research before buying. They decide with specific criteria in mind, and they are choosing the beds that best meet those criteria.
